RETRACTED: Failed fertilization after clinical intracytoplasmic sperm injection

This article has been retracted at the request of all three authors in agreement with the Senior Editor due to the use of text copied from multiple previously published articles. In particular the following three articles were extensively plagiarized: Hum. Reprod., 19 (2004) 1587–1590, doi:10.1093/humrep/deh236, J. Clin. Invest., 118 (2008) 3671–3681, doi:10.1172/JCI36942 and Fertil. Steril., 72 (1999) 509–512, doi:10.1016/S0015-0282(99)00264-2.

One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and that text has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. As such this article represents misconduct of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
